I am Arthur Hughes. I am married to Sharyn Burgess. I was raised in Nevada and Utah, and attended Dixie Jr. College, UNLV and eventually graduated from BYU.
I teach Utah History, American History, United States Studies, American Government , World Civilizations, Introduction to Computers, Computer Applications, Driver Education, and Health at Green River High School in Green River, Utah.
I have been teaching at GRHS since 1981, with previous teaching jobs in Nevada and Utah. I spent 5 years working as an underground Uranium miner during the late 70's. I belong to a family of teachers. My mother and father were both teachers, I have 3 brothers, two brothers-in-law, two sisters, and 1 son that are teachers. My wife is also a teacher. She teaches First Grade at Book Cliff Elementary in Green River, Utah. I served a mission for the LDS Church in Western Canada and actively participate in church activities now. I enjoy teaching and working with kids. My hobbies include golf, fishing, reading, computers, camping, and sports. My wife and I recently bought the Robbers Roost Motel in Green River. This has been a great deal of fun and hard work. I am also the Webmaster for the Green River High School and Book Cliff Elementary web pages, The C.A. Hughes Family pages, Mrs. Hobbies , Robbers Roost Motel , and some other sites.
