THE HUGHES FAMILY
Charles Arthur Hughes was born on January 6, 1882 in Thurber (also called Rabbit Valley and is now named Bicknell), Wayne County, Utah. His parents were James Hughes, born December 10, 1838 in Pembroke, South Wales, and Carmelia Mariah Burgess, born January 9, 1844, in Nauvoo, Illinois.
On December 11, 1900, Charles Arthur married Orilla Luella Leavitt, in the St. George Temple. They were married by David Cannon.
Orilla Luella Leavitt was born 28 September, 1882 in Bunkerville, Nevada. Her parents were Thomas Dudley Leavitt Sr., born November 8, 1857 in Santa Clara, Utah, and Mary Luella Abbott, born December 2, 1865 in Ogden, Utah.
Arthur and Orilla had 13 children. All of these children were born in Mesquite, Nevada.
